CDL A or B Bulk Truck Driver – Fisher Industries (Salt Lake City, UT)

We are currently hiring CDL drivers in Salt Lake City, Utah to haul sand and gravel across the state and surrounding areas.
Position Overview
Job Title: CDL Class A or B – Bulk Truck Driver
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Position Type: Full-Time
Travel Required: Yes (includes overnight travel)
Per Diem: $25 per workday when traveling overnight
Safety-Sensitive: YesThis role involves transporting hazardous materials to job sites, operating bulk tankers, and maintaining equipment. Drivers will travel to various job sites throughout Utah, and occasionally out of state.
Key Responsibilities

Load and unload hazardous materials, including bulk and packaged types

Safely operate bulk tanker trucks in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations

Transport materials to designated sites while following all traffic laws and safety rules

Submit accurate and timely paperwork per company procedures

Perform daily safety checks on trucks, tanks, tires, oil, and fuel

Report any equipment issues to the Fleet or Driver Manager

Use auxiliary pumps, spill kits, and fire extinguishers when necessary

Read and follow permits regarding routes, safety, and special instructions

Assist with job site setup and teardown, including operating heavy equipment as needed

Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times

Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
-
Valid CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate

Willingness to obtain M.S.H.A. 5000-23 Part 46 or 48 (company-paid)

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and federal background check
-
Clean MVR as per Fisher’s company vehicle policy
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-
Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow

Capable of operating equipment in rugged and steep terrain
