Truman as the 34th President of the United States, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom was crowned at Westminster Abbey, and cultural milestones such as the premiere of Walt Disney’s “Peter Pan” and the advent of transistor radios marked the era. The automotive industry thrived, fueled by the rise of the buy now, pay later mentality, and car makers extended payment periods, making cars more accessible to the public. This economic boom led to a drop in unemployment to 2.9% and a rise in the standard of living.

Johnson Oil Company was founded in LaBarge, Wyoming, amid this burgeoning demand for products and services. Established on honesty, integrity, and professional service, Johnson Oil Company quickly grew to meet the increasing fuel, product, and transport service needs. Over the years, the company expanded its customer base and operations, becoming one of the largest fuel carriers in the Western United States.

In 1990, thirty-seven years after its inception, Johnson Oil Company underwent a transformation, rebranding to Alpha Transport. This change was not just a name but a reflection of the company’s evolution and specialization as a premier petroleum carrier.
